Good morning, Margo and thanks for getting us started with your busy schedule this week end. I hope that you are really enjoying yourself. Plus I have to bid a good morning to my other OFF siblings too. So....good morning to you all too!

I have to go in for blood work and a ekg today. I don't have to fast so that is good. It is just a bother for me to do since I just had all the blood work but it has to within 30 days and mine was just over it so they couldn't use any of it. Oh the rules we must follow.....hmmm.

I am going to start to pack my little bag today since tomorrow is a busy day at church. We have a dinner and a brain storming session after the service tomorrow so that is going to take a while. I am not going to feel like doing everything in the afternoon so that is why today is the day. I am not packing as much as I did when I had my wls. Most of it just sat in the bag so why should I bother? That is going to save me some work too.

Bill's cousin Trudy didn't like the idea of me being up at the hospital in surgery with no one being up there......Bill has to leave early to go to work....his boss wouldn't let him come in late and we can't afford right now for him to be docked his pay so........there isn't much choice. I told him not to worry about it since I am going to be sleeping anyway but she doesn't like the idea. My solution is that I am going to ask Pastor if he would come up for a bit while Bill leaves and until I get out of surgery. I am sure that he would do it but I feel bad asking him this since he is so busy with everything going on at church. He spends so much time taking care of everyone and I just feel bad asking him this. But I will make her happy and ask. Does this mean that I am going back into being a people pleaser again? I don't want to do that....I spent my whole life being a people pleaser and now I want to please just me and do what I think is right for the rest of the time.

Susan, I want to go to St. Bella's website........what is it? I might just try putting in St. Bella and see where that gets me.

I went to see my grandson yesterday. He slept the whole time I held him. He is just gorgeous.......as I thought that he would be. I thought that he looked more like Carol and Trudy saw his pictures and she said that she sees Russell in his sweet little face. He is just precious and when I left I whispered in his ear "Grandma loves you, sweet one". I think he understood or at least I want to think he did. Just beautiful and I didn't want to let him go.....but I did. He is so little. His newborn sleeper was to big for him but I told Carol that just means that he will be able to wear them longer. ha ha  When I get home I am going to try to figure out how to get the pictures from my camera on the computer and post them. Wish me luck on that one......I am not computer literate!!!!

I better get going. I have to get ready to go to the hospital. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers for everyone too. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile...it makes everyone happy!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

It's nearly 1 p.m. and I'm having my first cuppa  ... slept til after 11 a.m. through the thunderstorms. Had some loud boomers too. Nettie was sleeping on top of me and Scooter snuggling next to me. It's very windy and gloomy out, but every now and then the sun will peek through.

Not much happening. I have to work today, hopefully it will be busier than the last time I worked sports. It is NFL draft day, so there's something going on. They better give me more than one page to do.

No red fox sightings around here, but almost hit a deer in 2007 along the road coming home one night. Oh, and saw a big doe right outside my niece's house in Crystal Lake, IL, on my birthday. Told my brother about it and he said if she was that big, she was probably ready to have a baby. She was just down the street from my niece's house, on the corner ... unfortunately, she was on the passenger side of the car, and it would have taken too much to explain to my mom how to use my camera. She was beautiful.

Well, I guess I should do something, like take a shower and get dressed. I still have a little time before I have to go to work. Have a good day.

Brr Brr Brrrrrr after 2 days of temps in the high 80s today is rainy and cold. I took Mom to get her angel Food this morning and we went for coffee, a nice relaxing morning. It had stopped raining when I got home so I tried to work in the yard a bit, until i couldn't feel my hands any more. I have the sweetest black cat ( coffee) cuddling with me, she must be cold, purring ,snuggling on my lap, then getting under my chin, she is just in a very lovey mood today. I went to a Candle Lite party with Liz last night. I do so hate those party things, we took Hunter and he is just starting to really get excited when you talk to him, the kicking with a big smileand a little squeel. Oh my he has me wrapped around his little finger. The Fox sounds so beautiful, I haven't seen one in a long time. We did have to slow down for 5 deer to pass in front of the car 3 houses from Liz's house, they have scads of deer, too many really, I should clean house and do laundry to day but a hot cup of tea and a good movie sounds like much more fun. Have fun Margo and drive careful going home..Blessings

Good Morning to you!
I can't quite believe that April is almost gone. We had some HOT days last week (up to 90!) and now it feels cold again (it's probably 60). School is wild for me right now... our end of the year IEPs (Individualized Educational Plans) are due and each one involves testing, paperwork and a meeting with parents and other professionals. I had 20 meetings last week. In the next few weeks I'll have 20-30 more. Then the school year will be over. I have the whole summer off this year for the first time in 30 YEARS! The budget cuts are so severe that I get the summer off.
Tonight my daughter and I are going to see David Sedaris. He is a best selling author- I love his books. He wrote "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and other books in the same vein. They are humorous short essays.  He has a lisp and he is gay- so of course I would love him! In the book I mentioned he wrote about his speech therapist and how much he loved her. I really liked that part!
Tomorrow I am going to a little support group meeting. I'm in a contest for losing weight. Each person paid $50 and the one who loses the most weight after 2 months will win the pot. I have been going nowhere fast so I definitely need the pep talk.
I hope that you are all feeling happy today.

Julia

My son got me that book for Christmas, and I just started reading it recently, while waiting for my plane on my recent trip.  The other passengers must have thought I was going over the edge.  I laughed out loud.  I tried not to, but I really couldn't help myself!  His sense of humor is sort of bizarre, so of course, I loved it.

Let me know how he is live.

It's almost 80 here today, and I was all set to spend the next couple of days in the yard, but it's so windy that I gave up.  Got tired of dirt and grit in my eyes, and chasing garden equipment down the road.

I miss California.  Lots.

Hi Candy!
I'm so glad you read that book too! And California misses you! Come back anytime! I bet we could even arrange free room and board from south to north! I'll let you know about the Sedaris event!
